Dr. Pushpendra Rai

Pushpendra Rai is an International Intellectual Property (IP) Consultant, advising countries and institutions on different aspects of IP. He was a Director with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, till 2015. As Head of the IP and Economic Development Division, he supervised analytical exercises and implemented programs to assist countries in the strategic use of IP for development. He also successfully concluded the WIPO Development Agenda. In 2009, he headed the WIPO Office in Singapore, supervising activities in the Asia Pacific region.

Dr. Sumesh Reddy

Dr. Sumesh Reddy is currently the Global Head of Intellectual Property for Cipla Ltd., a Mumbai-based multinational Indian pharmaceutical company. He has been with Cipla since 2015. Prior to joining Cipla, he was senior vice president for Mylan and a member of their core global patent group, responsible for all strategic decision-making related to IP. He has also worked as Senior Director for Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories between 2002-2013 and has been involved with Hatch-Waxman litigation since the early 2000’s. He was one of the founding members of Dr. Reddy’s IP function.
